Firewall first started back in March of '98 when Ms. Rosemary Costa, a teacher at George R. Austin Middle School announced that there would be a 7th grade talent show. Chris and Eric had originally thought of playing an instrumental performance until late in April when Greg overheard them talking in homeroom. After weeks of begging them, they finally agreed to let him sing in the talent show tryouts with them. After that, they practiced every week adding new songs to their song list. They eventually played at the talent show and blew everybody away with sensational strobe and fog effects. The talent show gave them the inspiration to keep practicing week after week. There was one problem, they didn't have the proper equipment. So Greg saved his money and late in July bought a brand new 6 channel P.A. They also got new amps and new mics. The only thing Firewall needed was a bass player. They looked and looked and finally found Matt Rezendes. They were now a good four man band, with good equipment, and they sounded excellent. They now had to look for gigs. They soon found many and now in early March of '99 nearly one year later, they play gigs every weekend, write their own songs, and practice at least twice a week. Everyone thinks that Firewall is too young and they don't have a chance, but they decided to put this page up to help them get recognized and hopefully get more gigs. "We hope you enjoy our site and hopefully it can help us".
Sincerely,
Greg, Chris, Matt, and Eric...
